Book jacket a day for 7 days …

Since I no longer work in a library and the access to the publishing archive where I spent much of my time; seeing books about book design and those representative of early to contemporary book publishing, sadly I cannot refer to that material.  However, in the light of my new found knowledge I am able to make my own tiny collection. So, when asked to share daily for 7 days book jackets without narrative (already I have broken the rules) I jumped at the chance to share.  Also, part of the bargain is to nominate someone else, I am reluctant to do that; it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea to make a daily post. So, if any of my friends would like to join in that will save me some embarrassment.  So no 1 is :
