Alphabe Thursday … D is for Dicionário Brasileiro de literatura de Cordel and Deus.

June 11, 2015

From my little book some wise words about the god who intercedes the poet’s thoughts and gives him inspiration.  This man in my opinion looks a bit of a wide boy I would not trust him quite so much.

Deus da aquele que tem

O santo merecimento

Quando o dom se entrelaça

Nas células do pensamento

O poeta brota os fluidos

Com expressão e talento

God of mine who has

The holy worthiness

When the gift is intertwined

The thought of cells

The poet springs fluids

With expression and talent

My god doesn’t sit about on a cloud in heaven waiting to answer my prayers (or wear dark glasses)  but often I feel someone somewhere brings me hope and timely provision, for that I give thanks my deus of good fortune.

Although I don’t have strong religious connections … I do find it difficult to explain how we/I get through the day and sometimes achieve more than I dared hope for! You too have a good weekend xxx

Yes, and we all need hope. Nicely written.

The poem expresses something similar I’ve felt a few times when things seem to write themselves. I recall telling someone that’s how it felt when she asked me what is it like to write. She looked at me like I was nuts. So much for telling nonbelievers. 🙂

Write, sew or even bake a cake that experience comes from ‘somewhere’ for sure!

I love the last paragraph of this! Seems really appropriate for thoughts I’ve been having of late!

And those drawings were really charming. That last one is my favorite!

Thanks for a dynamic link for the letter D.

    A++
