Friday’s Snapshot from the Art Gallery
August 15, 2014
Drawing near the end of my holiday I look at photographs and memories from the museum and a snapshot that pleases. I am spoiled for choice, there are many opportunities for me to share. Sadly , mostly the images are clumsy representations of works of art because they have ugly reflections; mostly mine!!
Nonetheless I enjoyed looking for wood cuttings or Xilogravura as it known in Brazil and represented much in art galleries in Rio.
One artist that popped up was Oswaldo Goeldi his images of the favelas, factories and low life are beautifully truthfull.
