That’s fabulous, Helen – it’s very difficult to photograph hummingbirds as they’re rarely still long enough! A bit of internet research suggests it’s a Swallow-tailed Hummingbird (Eupetomena macroura)

Ah! he with a little charm (a group of humming birds) are in the hibiscus tree in my daughter’s ‘yard’ in the favela here in Rio!
