100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups – Week #57

September 12, 2012

Returning to the routine; I wish I could think of a 100 words that express my feelings about the end of several weeks of Jubilee and Olympics.  Since I didn’t celebrate either; I stayed in my routine and went on holiday. Like many others; not because I am a party poop. More because it was media and commercially led; driven by the need to turn on the telly or open a newspaper. They were events that did not touch my life.  While I can understand why some people put their lives on hold for the summer; I did not.

These are interesting images that I hope will cheer after my dreary attempt to this weeks prompt!

I agree, I didn’t really watch much either.

Thank goodness I thought I might get beheaded for being such a bore!

to be engaged is a choice; the expectation that you’ll always WANT what the media or world or community presents is pretty overwhelming. Nicely done. 🙂

What a jumble of 104 words! Very different to all the other takes on it that I’ve read so far. Have to confess, even though I am a professional cynic, I secretly enjoyed the Olympics!

Not one sneaked look here. Whenever the media gets overly involved in something, I automatically pull back. Voting has always been a problem for just that same reason! Don’t get me started…

A very original take on the prompt.
I was that cynic to begin with but did find myself swept away by the whole thing; especially the paralympics (red buttons great for whizzing past the dull bits and adverts!)
