Alphabe Thursday … O is for Olives, trees and oil
August 30, 2012
The Buddhist retreat where I am staying is situated in the Axarquia region; well known for its mild sub-tropical microclimate. On the hills around are large mango and avocado plantations. Dotted about are small olive groves. The olives are harvested by the community; a substantial amount of olives and oil is produced to provide a little extra income.

I love olives, black, green, big, little, oil, pitted, non pitted. Makes no difference. Yum!
and me … do they have any nutritional value?
Olives and oil oil, two of life’s greatest pleasures!
It makes me smile when I buy a huge bottle of the golden nector;when I remember the tiny bottle my mother kept in the bathroom cabinet for ear ache!!
