Alphabe Thursday … O is for Olives, trees and oil

August 30, 2012

The Buddhist retreat where I am staying is situated in the Axarquia region; well known for its mild sub-tropical microclimate.  On the hills around are large mango and avocado plantations.  Dotted about are small olive groves.  The olives are harvested by the community; a substantial amount of olives and oil is produced to provide a little extra income.

      It makes me smile when I buy a huge bottle of the golden nector;when I remember the tiny bottle my mother kept in the bathroom cabinet for ear ache!!

      Yes it is beautiful … just at the moment there is not a sound even the crickets have not yet begun their song of the sun.

    My accupuncturist and I were talking about Buddhism today.

    I love the peace of your photos.

    I can feel the calm in your words.

    I think this is something I need to explore more.

    Thank you for sharing this lovely, lovely post.

    A+++
