Alphabe Thursday … M is for Museum.
August 16, 2012
M is museum; to be precise the Museum of English Rural Life ; where I work. I am a library assistant to the Librarian and Rare Book Cataloguer; in the Special Collections Department in the museum.
I work very closely with the rare books, their classification, preservation and storage. I also work with the researchers who come daily to the Reading Room.
It is a position I enjoy and celebrate daily in my blog and twitter.

How lovely to be the caretaker of such works of art!
I am very lucky and appreciate every moment
That would be a fun job!
It is!! I am very happy …
That sounds like a really interesting job to do. I just love the feel of books, although I have to admit that I will get an e-reader. However, to hold and read a real book… is very different.
I really think that there is place for e books I have some … I like to buy cds but have nice collection of mp3s … choice is good xx
Oh my. What a magnificent and fascinating thing to do every day.
It would be cool to have work you are so passionate about.
I really like the artwork at the top of this post. That peacock is quite majestic.
Thank you for linking.
A+
The peacock is a stain glass window in the reading room. The reading room was once the dining room looking out over magnificent gardens wich have been recently redone.
